Windhorse Dog Coats are the perfect way to keep your dog warm and dry. These coats are constructed with a premium quality medium denier waterproof, windproof, and breathable polyester canvas outer shell. The lining is a soft poly Sherpa fleece for warmth. They feature a seamless back design and contoured fit. Application is simple and secure using a wide Velcro closure in front with generous adjust ability, and an elastic belly strap with an adjustable slide and Velcro closure. With 7 solid colors and 7 sizes you will be sure to find the right one for your favorite Dog.
Sizes XXS - Medium allows the use of a harness with a "Button Hole" design.
These coats feature a black binding and an embroidered Windhorse logo patch is on the left hind leg panel.
Please measure from the neck, where a collar would lie, back along the backbone to where the tail meets the body. This measurement will give you the back length and show you the best option for your dog. The side measurement just lets you know how far own the side of your dog the coat will fall.

We like everything about this jacket. The fit is excellent and it stays on our Airedale in the deepest of snow or the wildest of wrestling. Because it is not designed as a "tube" we were a bit skeptical, but the manufacturer has done a great job of sewing the jacket in a contoured shape that stays on the dog. And because it is not a tube getting it on or off is very easy. It's extremely durable, and we bought a second one for our other dog.
There is only one thing we would change, and that is adding a way to more securely fasten the belly strap. In deep snow conditions it does occasionally freeze up and needs a quick brush of a mitt to knock off the ice.
Great jacket with excellent warmth and very affordable as compared to the competition.

I absolutely love this dog coat. It is the 2nd one I have purchased. I liked the first one so much that when we got another dog, I had to buy one for her as well.
I love the over-all style and usability.The unique design makes it easy to get on and off the wiggly dogs and the sherpa lining makes it very warm. It is well made to last a long time - the first coat is several years old and going strong.

We have two Great Danes, so this is not our first Windhorse fleece-lined dog coat. They keep our girls warm while playing in the snow. They are easy to put on. On occasion, one of the dogs manages to get out of her coat while riding in the back of our truck, but even with some chewing damage one time (ripped off velcro strap), I was able to sew it back on and it was like new again. These coats are very well made and look great! Our girls are smaller Danes (100 lbs, 32" at withers), and the XXL fits them well. Not sure this coat has a size option for a TRULY big dog. As far as Universal Horse, they had great prices, shipped right away, and got us our coat quickly.

My little “chiweenie” dog Gabby loves her waterproof and sherpa lined blanket. She doesn’t like restrictive leg holes and this blanket gives her the freedom that she likes, yet stays on and is warm and waterproof. This is the second Windhorse blanket I’ve purchased; so now she can have a clean one in the wings when we need it! It is a quality blanket at a reasonable price....I would recommend it highly.

My large, brawny pitbull woofs a loud and sincere thank you to the Windhorse Company for making his new winter coat. It's cold up here in Vermont, especially when the wind chill keeps temperatures well below zero. We've had a lot more snow than usual. Rain is now confidant he can go outdoors and stay toasty warm. The outer material protects him against
snow and wind and the berber fleece insulates him against the bitter cold. Woof, he says, as I write this review for him . . . another thank you on the way.

This coat is warm and easy to get on. The only thing that would make it better would be if it had "tummy protection" so my little shih Tzu didn't get wet on his underside.

I just purchased 2 Windhorse Sherpa lined coats for my boxers. My dogs are around 70-75 lbs and I got them the XL. They fit beautifully, and are so easy and fast to put on and take off. They are warm and durable. I am very pleased, and doubt I will need to buy them another coat for a very long time.

These jackets are great. I have basset hounds and they are hard to find jackets that fit. All my bassets are different shapes and the large fits them all. Really adjustable and the sherpa lining is warm and soft.

The new coat is a perfect fit for my Boxer. It is warm and water resistant. Also it will help to keep my animal for being hit by a car when we are walking at night due to the bright color.
